జాగ్రత్త… కాల్ మెర్జింగ్ తో ఖాతా ఖాళీ !

Cyber Scam Alert :  సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు ఖాతాల్లో డబ్బులు కాజేయడానికి రోజుకో రకం మోసం కనిపెడుతున్నారు. లేటెస్ట్ గా కాల్ మెర్జింగ్ స్కాం మొదలుపెట్టారు. మనకు తెలియకుండా… మన నుంచి OTPలు తీసుకుని బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్స్ ఖాళీ చేస్తున్నారు. ఇలాంటి మోసాలపై జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలని National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)కు చెందిన The Unified payments interface (UPI) వార్నింగ్ ఇచ్చింది. ఎవరైనా కాల్ చేసి OTP అడిగితే ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లో చెప్పవద్దని కోరుతున్నారు.

కాల్ మెర్జింగ్ స్కాం ఎలా చేస్తారు ?

మీ మొబైల్ నంబర్ ను మీ ఫ్రెండ్ నుంచి తీసుకున్నాం అంటూ కాల్ చేస్తారు. మీతో ఫోన్ లో మాట్లాడుతూనే.. మీ ఫ్రెండ్ వేరే నంబర్ నుంచి Call చేస్తున్నాడని చెప్పి, రెండు calls merge చేయమని స్కామర్ చెబుతాడు. ఆ కాల్ నిజంగా మీ Friendది కాదు. అది బ్యాంకు OTP కాల్. స్కామర్ అడగ్గానే మీరు కాల్ mergingకి ఒప్పుకుంటే వెంటనే బ్యాంకు ధ్రువీకరణకు సంబంధించిన OTP కాల్ తో కనెక్ట్ అవుతాడు. ఇలా బ్యాంకు కాల్ నుంచి వచ్చే OTPని అవతలి నుంచి వింటున్న సైబర్ మోసగాళ్లు సేకరిస్తారు. అప్పటికే బ్యాంకు వివరాలు తీసుకుంటారు. ఆ తర్వాత OTPని ఉపయోగించి మీ బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లోంచి డబ్బులు కాజేస్తారు. ఇదంతా ఒక నిర్ణీత టైమ్ లోపు జరిగిపోతుంది. మీరు బ్యాంకు OTP వారికి చెప్పినట్లు కూడా గమనించని పరిస్థితుల్లో ఉంటారు.

ఈ స్కామ్ బారిన పడకుండా ఉండాలంటే !

• మీకు తెలియని వ్యక్తులు కాల్ చేసి, మరో నంబర్ నుంచి వస్తున్న కాల్ ను merge చేయమని కోరితే అది కచ్చితంగా మోసమే అని గ్రహించండి.

• మీకు తెలియని వ్యక్తులు కాల్ చేసి మేం బ్యాంకు నుంచి మాట్లాడుతున్నామనీ… లేదంటే మీ Friend కి ఫ్రెండ్ ని చెబితే అస్సలు నమ్మొద్దు

• అనుమానాస్పద ఫోన్ కాల్ ని అటెంప్ట్ చేస్తే… వెంటనే Cyber Security bureau Toll Free Number 1930కి కంప్లయింట్ ఇవ్వండి. website link, app link

• మీరు OTPని షేర్ చేసినట్టు అనుమానం వస్తే… వెంటనే మీ బ్యాంక్ కస్టమర్ కేర్ కి కాల్ చేసి ఇన్ఫర్మేషన్ ఇవ్వండి. దాంతో డబ్బులు పోకుండా వాళ్ళు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటారు.
